Good food, good prices and good service. We will definitely be back! The lunch specials are a great deal, too. I especially loved the potstickers

I come to this quaint little restaurant all the time! Their weekday lunch special might be the best deal in the city, and it's good until 5:00, which is super convenient no matter what time in my day I have a craving. Everything I've tried here hits the spot. And the staff are extremely fast and attentive to you to the point where you're sat and fed within 10 minutes, it almost feels unreal. For $11 I can a massive helping of general Tso's chicken, a huge serving of rice, and a cup of soup, with complimentary tea and a sweet sesame pastry to finish the meal. Great food, for great prices? I almost can't believe such an establishment exists in San Francisco in 2024.

I definitely don't consider myself an aficionado on Chinese food. Im more of a beef broccoli, wonton, lo mein kind of a guy (although bing from St. Louis I gotta through the "only available in stlouis" St. Paul sandwich in there and yeah I'm kinda an aficionado on those. But I digress). Anyhow.....was kind of heading to the pizza joint next door for their happy hour special and then decided I'd try this place since I've been trying to find some decent Chinese food. The other place I hit some blocks away, I ate there twice and each time I felt like they just put way too much rice wine vinegar in the dish. I didn't even know you put that in beef broccoli or general tso, chicken anyhow I'm not going back there. Dined in about 6:39 on a Saturday. Service was good. Ordered beef broccoli (I didn't necessarily see just beef broccoli on the menu, but they said it was no problem. Had to order white rice separately, which I thought was kind of odd but I guess that's just how things going a big city like this because the Indian place across the street from my hotel is the same way. Anyhow, I kind of decided to splurge and get the wontons and oh my God were they amazing. Six huge wontons. I kind of thought there would be a sauce for the wonton and I asked about it and he kindly pointed out that the little cup on my table was so that I could put soy sauce some vinegar and hot chili in there. Yep sure enough that's exactly what the sauce I'm used to taste like. Anyhow the beef broccoli serving was huge. Lots of nice chunks of beef and lots of broccoli. I frankly ate way too damn much. But I don't have a microwave in my hotel so I just forced it all down rather than take leftovers. Anyhow will definitely be going back. I'm here restoring the Castro theatre probably for another month or so.
